At the Thunder Day in Hamburg, Martin Gaiger, CEO at Telekurier Online Medien, and Adam Zielinski, CTO there, talked about the digital transformation of the daily publisher with Thunder. kurier.at is among the largest online portals in Austria and decided in 2016 to relaunch its websites on Thunder. Currently, motor.at is already running on Thunder, futurezone.at and kurier.at are to follow in the next weeks.
In this talk, Martin Gaiger and Adam Zielisnki explain the approach of Telekurier Online Medien: using a fully headless Drupal to enable device-agnostic content creation and distribution, enriching content with a Retresco semantic engine and Elasticsearch, publishing to a range of endpoints via NodeJS, and lots more - while at the same time saving 62 % of the costs.
