Stephan Heck: Thunder and Purple DS to serve all digital channels

Stephan Heck, CEO of sprylab technologies, presented his project for the supermarket chain Woolworth in Australia and their customer magazine "Woolworth Fresh": Woolworth used an "InDesign first" approach with no structured data and published recipes in an app produced by Adobe DPS. The goal was to introduce a recipe database supporting web and app, the re-use of recipes, and an interface to Woolworth's store.

By connecting Thunder with their product Purple DS, an App focused digital publishing suite, sprylab managed to introduce a high-level workflow in which Thunder serves as a content hub - the "Recipe Management System". The Purple DS Templating Client is used to transfer recipes from Adobe InDesign into Thunder.
